Working on the BETA team has been such an adventure. We have done so much in the past few months, from collecting fossils to collecting fog.
Recently I have been working on the aerosol chambers, which have been a huge learning process for me. The setup that we have takes up basically a whole wall, and there are plenty of knobs and switches to fill the space.
I think the most intimidating part of it to me was learning what switches do what, especially knowing that if you turn the wrong switch at the wrong time you can potentially break something; or worse, contaminate the sample.
Once we fill the chamber properly it takes about four days for it to run completely, so a lot of the work is just a waiting game. It is still a learning process for me, but when you finally get that end product that you waited all week for it makes the struggle so much more worth it.
